This listing is for a Beginner Granny Square Course. The classes will be held in person at Bistitchual
on Sunday August 24th from 2:30pm - 4:30pm
Bring your yarn over and pull through to our two hour granny square class!
From blankets; to sweaters; to bags; and much more, these cozy squares can be used in a wide range of designs. They’re a joy to make, simple to reproduce and easy to customize to your own style and project needs.
This class teaches how to make a basic granny square, how to change colours and, how to join squares together. We’ll discuss variations in construction and further possibilities.
We expect students in this class to already know how to chain, make single and double crochets.
You’ll need a 5.0 mm hook and worsted weight yarn in 2-3 colours. Materials are not provided, please bring your own or purchase these supplies at Bistitchual with a 10% discount, before class begins!

About the instructor:
Melissa (she/her) has been active in the Toronto arts and crafts scene since 2008. She is the owner of Kaotic Ekko's Curiosities (closed) and Fibremancy (current). At age 7, she learned to crochet doilies from her grandmother who's adage was "If you can crochet doilies, you can crochet anything!" She learned to knit about 11 years ago from a lovely group of friends she met on the TTC Knitalong. She's taught various classes over the years, including crochet and polymer clay. She loves to share her knowledge as well as learn from others.
