Inspired in equal parts by a quote from Franz Kafka and a brilliant interpretation of it by artist Kendall Cox, this cozy top-down “crowdigan” features eyelet raglan shaping, a crochet rib border, and extra-long, voluminous sleeves for maximum “wearable blanket” vibes. The large-scale colourwork motif on the back draws on a love of the corvine family, the moon, and the Six of Wands tarot card. The Six of Wands is traditionally associated with good news and accomplishment – the prospect of possibility, if you will – and felt a fitting companion to a design first conceived of on the eve of the year 2021.
The finished cardigan is designed to have at least 6” (15 cm) of positive ease. Using your chest circumference as a guide, make sure to pick a size that will provide a comfortable, cozy fit.
