Come spend an afternoon learning the basic skills needed to start knitting! This two hour course covers everything you need to know for a simple project: casting on and off, the knit & purl stitches, and some common mistakes and how to undo them.
Materials: Yarn and needles will be provided.
What We’ll Learn
- How to make a slip knot.
- Casting on.
- The Knit stitch.
- The Purl stitch.
- Binding off.
Please note that classes will only proceed if we have a minimum of two attendees. If the minimum is not met, there will be the option for a refund or to reschedule.
There will be a six person maximum for each class. Please pre-book your spot to let us know you are coming!
About the instructor:
Tired of disposing of clothes that were still perfectly wearable, Mike (he/him) started crafting mainly as a means of mending and repair. This led him to knitting (and later crochet), which pretty much immediately became one of his favourite tools of self-expression.
Cancellation Policy
Classes must be paid for at the time of registration to reserve your spot.
- If cancelled 48 hrs or more prior to the start of the class will be given a store credit. Classes cancelled less than 48 hrs prior to the start of the class will not be reimbursed.
