For our US customers

I really hate to have to do this, but like most Canadian small businesses, I need to pause shipments to the United States. While everything we sell comes from Canadian dyers and businesses, the countries of origin are from all over the world. It’s simply not feasible to track the country of origin for every product, calculate the individual tariff rate for each country, and collect the additional payment for each order. Even if I did, the tariffs on Canadian goods alone is 35%. I just can’t ask a customer to take cost on, and I certainly couldn’t cover it myself.
This will really hurt my business. It will also hurt my American customers. I wish I could do something beyond pausing shipments and waiting to see how this plays out, but unfortunately, this is where we’re at. I’m sorry to those who will be affected by this decision.
